The 1000BASE-LX 1G SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) modules, also known as Gigabit SFP transceivers, are widely used for gigabit Ethernet and fiber optic networking applications.This SFP transceiver supports up to 20km link lengths over Single-Mode fiber (SMF) using a wavelength of 1310nm via an LC connector.

It fully complies with the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) and can be used on MSA compliant SFP ports of optical networking equipment. Each SFP transceiver module is individually tested to be used on a series of Cisco switches, routers, servers, network interface card (NICs) etc.
